ABOUT OUR SPEAKERS
John Miri is the President & CEO of the Electric Grid Cybersecurity Alliance. John is a 25-year veteran of the technology and cybersecurity world who has led effectively in startups, large companies, and government agencies. John recently built the cybersecurity department for a major Texas utility from one person to 28 people, built the State of Texas’s first integrated Network and Security Operations Center, co-authored the Texas’s first statewide cybersecurity plan, and has helped countless organizations improve their cybersecurity posture. He has recruited cybersecurity professionals, written job descriptions, conducted interviews, set budgets, and coached aspiring cyber professionals on their professional development.
Don Tracy is the Director of Corporate & Community Education at Austin Community College. Don is a workforce education professional who has helped thousands of people advance their careers or start new ones. His innovative programs are based on meeting the student where they are – on the student’s terms – to make career development education most effective. Don also works closely with major employers and public officials to effectively reskill those disrupted by technological change to support healthy communities and vibrant economic development. Don is President of the National Council for Continuing Education & Training and is completing a Ph.D. in Adult Professional & Community Education at Texas State University.
